Ad People of the Year

What’s it take to be great?

We’re not always so sure ourselves, so every year, we call upon the most impactful, insightful, and inspiring members of the northern Nevada advertising community to tell us first hand at the annual Ad People of the Year Awards.

We honor people in our community under the following categories:

Thomas C. Wilson Lifetime Achievement Award

The recipient must have made significant contributions to advertising and been active in furthering the industry’s standards, creative excellence and responsibility in areas of social concern. They must have shown a consistently high degree of excellence in the field of advertising over a lifetime, coupled with strong community involvement both personally and professionally. Recipient cannot be current member of the AAF Reno Board of Directors.

President’s Award of Excellence

These nominations are the only ones that the AAF Reno President will see, and get to decide on. The award is intended to recognize the unsung heroes within the advertising community. It will recognize folks that have consistently gone above and beyond the call of duty for the community, and even the club. Recipients of this award must not have received an Ad People of the Year Award for at least 2 years prior, and cannot be up for any other APOY awards in the same night.

Ad Person of the Year

The recipient must have achieved singular excellence in the advertising field during the last year, while demonstrating strong community involvement, both personally and professionally. Recipient cannot be current member of the AAF Reno Board of Directors.

Promotion Person or Group of the Year

The recipient must have made an outstanding contribution to the effectiveness of promotional activities on behalf of the community. The time frame of this award is not necessarily limited to the past year. Recipient cannot be current member of the AAF Reno Board of Directors.

Community Contribution of the Year

The recipient should have made an outstanding advertising-related contribution to the community during 2022. This award recognizes those businesses or individuals that have been active in furthering the industry’s responsibility in areas of social concern. Recipient cannot be current member of the AAF Reno Board of Directors.

Submit Your Nominations

Please provide thorough details with each entry, including personal and professional achievements for 2023. Specific and comprehensive examples are critical, as these are the only pieces of information the selection committee will be basing their decisions on for the winners. The more knowledge they have, the better chance your entrant will have to win. Tell us everything you can so they can ascertain a full understanding of the person and why they should be considered.

The nomination deadline is April 19th, so don’t hesitate to nominate someone great today!
